Google lancerà”Informazioni su questo risultato”per infondere maggiore fiducia negli utenti per i loro risultati di ricerca, in tutte le query in inglese in tutto il mondo. È la loro mossa in risposta a tutte le preoccupazioni relative alla disinformazione e ai siti web di propaganda.
Google Lens offre risultati più contestuali da offrire agli utenti dell’istruzione. Questo può aiutare gli utenti marginali, ma la vera domanda è: questi utenti marginali possono davvero accedere a dispositivi che ne offrono un’esperienza di utilizzo senza interruzioni?

Google sta aggiornando il proprio gestore di password. Il primo è la facile importazione delle password da altri gestori. Il secondo è la sincronizzazione tra desktop e Android. Il terzo è l’avviso automatico se una delle tue password viene violata e l’ultimo è un processo assistito per individuare il tuo account che è stato violato e aggiornarlo di conseguenza.

We’re now looking at how Google’s working on creating an error-corrected quantum computer, which will start right at the physical qubit level and then scale all the way up. This’ll scale up to create Google’s first quantum data centres, which’ll look something like this. For some reason, we have Michael Pena fanboying and cracking dad jokes over there, to take us through it.
There’s a new ML chip at Google, the Tensor Processing Unit, or TPUv4. It’s a part of the fastest system that Google has put together, which’ll then power its data centres going forward.
Pichai previews the multimodal search model that will be able to recognise objects from search queries, search for that object within a video and forward a clip to that point. The tech is really, really cool. Pichai admits that it’s still an early-stage project, but the idea is there for all to see.
LaMDA is an early-stage project, but it’s safe to say that nothing less than this was expected. Pichai says this model should comply with all privacy and security features on the new generation speech synthesis model.
Basically, Google’s saying that they have found the secret sauce to AI assistants not saying”I’m sorry, I didn’t quite get that.”
LaMDA can synthesise learned concepts from a complete set of training data. This apparently helps it better carry forward open-ended conversations.
…and we’re now seeing Pluto talking to Google’s new speech model, LaMDA.
We’re going through all the advances that WaveNet, Live Translate on Android and other machine learning tools have made at Google. Now, looking forward to more natural language processing technology by Google.
Anyway, back to the more serious stuff – Google says its live language translator now has 4x more usage than before. I’m not sure about the exact data parameters of it.

More on Meet: new features include Collab mode, tile resizing, Companion mode, noise cancellation, Smart Canvas come to Workspace. Soltero says all of this is coming to all users, soon. More details in the coming weeks.
Google is bringing Meet directly into Docs, Sheets and Slides so that you need one click to start a collab meeting with all with whom a file has been shared with.
Smart Canvas is basically a new interface for shared Google Docs editing. It has organised live editing on shared Docs, which can honestly be a nightmare if there are more than two users working on one file, live. It requires a crazy amount of coordination, but now, Google’s putting labels and organising tasks for each users to make things more organised.

Through school education, Chromebooks are the number one notebooks of choice, says Pichai. That’s an interesting statistic to look closer at.
Google’s taking cues from the pools of data that it already has (and will have more of) to offer things like eco-friendly routes that may help consume lesser fuel, and safer routes that are better for commuting on overall terms. It’s always a mixed bag with these things.
