11:58 am (IST): Huawei’s representative in a conference today has stated that mulitple Huawei smartphones will get upgraded to HarmonyOS 2.0 before June.
He goes on to add that at least 300 million units will be running HarmonyOS 2.0 before the year ends and will subsequently expand with time.

03:49 pm (IST): HarmonyOS 2.0 is set to occupy more than 16% of the market share this year.
With the release for the general public planned next month, more and more apps keep coming. Here is a new app that has been released along with the HarmonyOS version of the Jingdong shopping app.
While all this is happening, some games won’t detect HarmonyOS 2.0 powered phones and tags them as PC emulators instead.

11:25 am (IST): Huawei has revealed OpenHarmony project that will bring more options in APIs for apps enabling maximum native app compatibility. All of this has no mention of any code from Android.
04:15 pm (IST): Huawei is ready to let third-party OEMs to use HarmonyOS 2.0. The mass scale release of this operating system to Huawei devices is set to begin in June.
Huawei says HarmonyOS 2.0 is only 1% and there’s a lot that can be done by other players in the industry. In short, this seems like a base for something big to come in the future.
The company has also merged Huawei HiLink and Power by HarmonyOS to call them HarmonyOS Connect from now. Huawei will be launching HarmonyOS Connect Zone for all malls soon.

03:55 pm (IST): Huawei brings iPadOS resemblance to Huawei Matepad Pro with the introduction of HarmonyOS 2.0. Huawei P30 series is slated to receive the beta of the new OS sometime in mid-June.

9:30 am (IST): Huawei is adding some Honor devices to the list of devices eligible for HarmonyOS 2 public beta. These devices include the Honor V30, V30 Pro, Honor 30, 30 Pro, and the 30 Pro+.
Also, devices with model numbers KRJ-W09 and KRJ-AN00A corresponding to the Honor Play 4 Pro and the Honor V6 tablet will also be eligible for the public beta.
At this pace, HarmonyOS will soon reach its 100 million device milestone.
Update 91 (July 26, 2021)
1:55 pm (IST): With the launch of the Huawei P50 series on July 29, the Chinese manufacturer has decided to bring in some new features to its flagship lineup.
The P50 lineup consists of the Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and the P50 Pro Plus.
Huawei said they plan to bring some new software features to the phone that are not available on the current version of HarmonyOS 2. However, the company hasn’t shed any light on what these features might be.

9:30 am (IST): New reports indicate that the Huawei Maimang 9 along with the Enjoy Z all smartphone users in China are beginning to get upgrades to Huawei’s own HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.
