Prime Day and AirPods deals
Amazon Prime Day will be here before we know it. According to Amazon reps, the event will occur in Q2 of 2021, which means either late May or sometime in June. That means Prime Day is just weeks away. If you’re shopping for AirPods deals, that’s a great thing. We expect to see the AirPods Pro drop down to $169, whereas the AirPods Max may see a $50 discount.
Cheap AirPods sales at the Apple Store
Unfortunately, the Apple Store doesn’t offer refurb AirPods deals, so if you’re looking for cheap AirPods, you’re better off looking at authorized resellers. Instead, the Apple Store offers the AirPods at their full price. That translates to $159 for the AirPods with Charging Case and $199 for the AirPods with Wireless Charging Case. (The latter can be charged wirelessly).
Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro will set you back $249. Their price is higher because they feature active noise cancellation, water/sweat resistance, and a transparency mode that lets you filter in ambient noise. In a nutshell, they’re the AirPods we’ve always wanted. Finally, the AirPods Max are $549 direct from Apple.
Cheap AirPods sales history
Generally speaking, AirPods sales fluctuate from $99 to $139 (for the standard AirPods), so any cheap AirPods sales within that price range are a good deal. Anything above $139, and we’d recommend waiting for the next batch of AirPods sales. (Keep in mind that the standard AirPods hit an all-time price low of $99 on Cyber Monday).
Meanwhile, the AirPods with Wireless Case hit an all-time price low of $139 in early August, whereas the AirPods Pro can usually be found on sale for $199. During Black Friday/Cyber Monday, the AirPods Pro dropped to $169, which is their lowest price ever. On a typical day, you can find the AirPods Pro for $199 to $209, which are solid AirPods deals we’d recommend.
Which cheap AirPods should you get?
The Editor’s Choice second-gen AirPods (2019) are great for most Apple fans. They’re the best cheap AirPods you can get and use Apple’s H1 chip to rapidly connect to your Apple devices.
